The goal was to create a pre-roll spot that would live exclusively on MLB.com during an Old Navy homepage takeover. The spot would tell the story of base coach dad’s using baseball sign language (elbow taps, button touches, sleeve tugs and hat tips) to communicate the after-game plan for pizza, wings, and drinks. The hilarious conversation inadvertently sends one of the players on a mad dash from first to home, winning the game.
Our hard work paid off, the spot was extremely successful, meeting or exceeding all digital benchmarks: delivering a crushing CTR percentage, beating retention benchmarks, and even outperforming TV on digital – home run.
